Emillie Toone earned her second MWC Player of the Week honor.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Utah senior middle blocker Emillie Toone earned her second Mountain West Conference Co-Player of the Week award both of the season and of her career, the league office announced Monday.
The American Fork, Utah, native helped Utah break into the national rankings for the first time this season at #24 in the Nov. 3 Bison/AVCA Coaches Poll. The Utes had a 2-1 record last week, including a 2-0 mark in conference play with wins over New Mexico and TCU. The Utes are now just .5 games behind Colorado State for first place in the MWC.
Toone averaged 2.55 kills and 1.45 blocks in 11 total sets during Utah's three-match-in-eight-day stretch last week. Toone ended up with a hitting percentage of .436 (28-4-55) for the week.
In Sunday's 3-0 win over TCU, Toone came up with a match-high 13 kills in just 21 attempts without a single attack error. Toone registered two more match highs against the Horned Frogs: a .619 hitting efficiency and eight blocks.
In a four-set win against New Mexico at Crimson Court Thursday, Toone registered a .533 hitting percentage with nine kills on 15 attempts to go along with a match-high tying seven blocks. In a four-set loss at No. 7 Oregon on Oct. 27, Toone had six kills and one block, with a hitting efficiency of .436.
Utah players have won the conference's award four out of the last five weeks. Toone's teammate Lori Baird (Murray, Utah) was recognized Oct. 6 and 20, while Toone earned her first honor Oct. 13.
Toone shared this week's honor with San Diego State's Lauren Van Orden.
Last Sunday's 3-0 win over TCU will be televised on CBS College Sports Tuesday at 7 p.m. MT.
Utah (17-5, 9-2 MWC) next travels to San Diego State looking for their 10th straight MWC victory. First serve for Thursday's match is set for 8 p.m. MT.
