The Utah volleyball team will head west to Los Angeles for a pair of road matches at No. 6 UCLA on Wednesday at 7 p.m. PT and No. 7 USC on Friday at 6 p.m. PT.
Both matches will be televised live on Pac-12 Network with Anne Marie Anderson (PBP) and Holly McPeak (Analyst) calling the action. The UCLA match will be on the National network, while the match at USC will be regionally televised.
In Salt Lake City, Pac-12 Networks is carried on Comcast. Pac-12 Mountain is channel 37, the national Pac-12 Network is channel 410 and Pac-12 Mountain HD is channel 757.
The Utes have won two of their last three conference matches and stand 2-6 in Pac-12 action with an 11-10 overall record.
Utah split its home contests against Arizona and Arizona State last week at Crimson Court.
Arizona State Recap: Utah defeated Arizona State (25-15, 25-16, 25-22) on Sunday at Crimson Court for its second Pac-12 Conference victory in its last three matches.
Utah was efficient on the attack with a .435 hitting percentage, while holding Arizona State to .182 clip. The Utes also maintained a 12.0 to 2.0 edge in team blocks and a 39-31 advantage in digs.
Launiere Earns Conference Win 200: Utah head coach Beth Launiere secured her 200th conference victory over Arizona State on Sunday.
In her 23rd season at the helm for the Utes, Launiere is 200-132 (.602) in conference matches over her career.
Utes Near Top of NCAA Blocking Ranks: Utah is fourth in the NCAA and second in the Pac-12's latest statistical rankings with a 3.16 block-per-set average as a team.
Including league-games only, Utah is third with 3.25 blocks per set during Pac-12 matches.
The Utes have outblocked their foes in 10 of their 11 victories this season and hold a 10-4 mark in that scenario.
Scalding Schofield: Sophomore outside hitter Chelsey Schofield (Provo, Utah) averaged 3.75 kills per set and had 15 kills in each match against Arizona and Arizona State last weekend. She also registered 4.12 points, 2.25 digs and 0.50 blocks per set against the Wildcats and Sun Devils.
Bailey Brilliant on the Block: Utah sophomore middle blocker Bailey Bateman (Hooper, Utah) turned in 2.12 blocks per set in a pair of matches against Arizona and Arizona State. For the season, Bateman is eighth in the NCAA and third in the Pac-12 with 1.59 blocks per set in the latest statistical ranking. She is fourth in the league with 1.67 blocks per set in conference matches. She has led or tied for the team lead in blocking 14 times this season.
Morgan Goes for More: Junior outside hitter Morgan Odale (Star, Idaho) averaged 2.38 kills and 2.00 digs per set last weekend against Arizona and Arizona and Arizona State. She has 909 career kills and needs to average at least 7.6 kills per match over the Utes' final 12 regular-season matches to become the 13th member of Utah's 1,000-kill club.
Seeing Redd: Junior middle blocker Erin Redd (Spanish Fork, Utah) hit .533 last weekend against Arizona and Arizona State with 18 kills on 30 swings and just a pair of errors on the attack. Redd also registered 2.25 kills and 1.00 blocks per set.
