SALT LAKE CITY -
The University of Utah athletics department is pleased to offer free live video streaming of its 2007-08 women's volleyball, women's basketball and gymnastics home contests on UtahUtes.com. Viewers should choose the All-Access button for video streaming options. Non-televised games will be streamed live, while games on CSTV or the Mtn. will be available later on video on demand.
New this year is a video streaming exchange with Mountain West Conference schools. When the Utes are playing an MWC school that video streams its home games, the game will be available free of charge via a link on Utah's All-Access site.
In addition to live video streams of women's basketball, volleyball and gymnastics contests, Utah's All-Access site will feature a variety of other multi-media options, including live streaming of Utah's weekly football press conference and video on demand (highlight clips of various Ute sports). Coming soon to All-Access will be delayed video streaming of Utah's football and men's basketball coaches' shows, produced and aired by ABC-4 in Salt Lake City.
Audio streaming for select sports will also be available on UtahUtes.com. Links to live audio streams for football, soccer, men's and women's basketball, softball and baseball, can be found in several places, among them, All-Access, on the front page of UtahUtes.com under the Events tab (choose the game you want and `listen') and on the sport page itself (choose the Schedule/Results tab, click on a game, and choose `listen' from the pop-up menu).
Other new additions planned for UtahUtes.com in 2007-08 will include iTunes' podcasting and YouTube.
