Airial Salvo was named the MWC Player of the Week.

SALT LAKE CITY - It didn't take University of Utah outside hitter Airial Salvo long to snag her first award, earning Mountain West Conference Player of the Week accolades.
The freshman started in the season-opener against Idaho State and led the Utes to a victory in chalking up a double-double of 15 kills and 11 digs. Moreover, she hit .484 for the match on 31 attempts with no errors. Salvo also had two of the team's three service aces and two block assists.
Salvo and the rest of her Ute teammates hit the court again on Tuesday at 7 p.m., when they host Weber State at Crimson Court.
