Utah head coach Beth Launiere announced the addition of Brian Doyon to the coaching staff.

SALT LAKE CITY - Brian Doyon, head coach of Battle Mountain High School in Vail, Colo., for the past six years, is Utah's new assistant volleyball coach, announced head coach Beth Launiere today. He joins Heather Olmstead, who was recently promoted to lead assistant on Launiere's staff.
"We are excited to have Brian on our staff as he brings a vast amount of experience in many different areas," Launiere said. "He has won on every level and we look for him to help us continue to be successful and remain one of the top programs in the nation."
Doyon has spent the last six years as the head coach at Battle Mountain High School, where he compiled a 97-32 record and won the 2006 state championship. His Battle Mountain teams posted three 20-win seasons and earned three top-five finishes at the state tournament.
The 2006 Rocky Mountain News 4A Coach of the Year, Doyon mentored 2006 AVCA High School Senior All-Americans Crystin Rodrick and Britney Brown. He was selected as the 2007 Colorado High School Coaches Association Coach of the Year.
Doyon's experience extends beyond the high school ranks. Since 2005, he has been the assistant director of Terry Pettit's Summit of Extraordinary Coaching, where he assisted Pettit in developing and hosting a seminar for college coaches. Doyon has assisted at many camps and has served as the director of Rocky Mountain Volleyball Camps and the sports coordinator of the Vail Recreation District since 2004.
His other volleyball coaching experience includes a three-year term as the director of coaching and co-head coach of the Avalanche Volleyball Club in Edwards, Colo., from 2002 to 2004. He also was an evaluator of talent for USA Volleyball High Performance in Denver, Colo.
