SALT LAKE CTIY - Karine Gauvin Bourdages from Gatineau, Quebec, has signed a national letter of intent to play for the University of Utah women's tennis team. The announcement came today from head coach Megan Dorny.
Bourdages finished 2003 ranked No. 11 in the Canadian U-16 division and ranked No. 7 in the province of Quebec. Bourdages currently trains at the Cloutier-Jousselin Tennis Academy in Repentigny, Quebec.
Bourdgages was a doubles finalist at the 2004 U-18 Quebec Outdoor Championships. In 2003, she made it to the quarterfinals of the U-16 Canadian Junior Outdoor Championships in Vancouver. Bourdages was also selected to play in the prestigious Orange Bowl international junior tournament in 2001. Academically, Bourdages was named the Student of the Year at Félix-Leclerc High School.
