Ferris fares well in consolation rounds

Elizabeth Ferris won two singles matches in the consolation rounds of the ITA Regionals today.

Tulsa, Okla. - The University of Utah women's tennis team finished the third day of the ITA Regional Championships.

Sophomore Whitney Eber fell to Tako Kvaratskhelia of Kansas State in the second round of the singles main draw (6-3, 6-2).

Eber and Elizabeth Ferris were defeated by BYU's Dolly Chang and Lauren Jones (8-5) in the doubles.

Ferris fared well in the singles consolation rounds, defeating Bindiya Parekh of UARL (7-5, 4-6, 10-7) in the round 32 and Emily Kirchem of CSU in the round of 16 (6-2, 7-6(4)).
