LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The University of Utah women's tennis team heads to the USTA/ITA Mountain Regional Tournament this weekend at the Fertitta Tennis Complex. Utah boasts four of seven seeded singles players and one seeded doubles team. Twenty teams will be participating in singles and doubles competition.

Wednesday, Oct. 10- First and second round singles
Thursday, Oct. 11- First round doubles, third round singles, first round consolation singles
Friday, Oct. 12- Second round doubles, first round consolation doubles, Round of 16 singles, Quarterfinal singles, second round consolation singles, added singles matches
Saturday, Oct. 13- Round of 16 doubles, Quarterfinal doubles, second round consolation doubles, Semifinal singles, third round consolation singles
Sunday, Oct. 14- Semifinal doubles, Doubles Final, third round consolation doubles,
Singles Final, fourth round consolation singles, added singles matches
In Singles Play
Utah's redshirt junior Paige Miles takes on Weber State's Ashley Tanner Wednesday at 9 a.m.. Sophomore Natasha Smith faces Montana's Precious Gbadamosi, while ninth-seeded junior Callie Craig takes on Colorado's Carla Manzi, both at 12:30 p.m. Twelth-seeded Elena Najera-Salas battles Mackenzie Maddox of BYU at 10 a.m., followed by seventh-seeded sophomore Tereza Bekerova facing Idaho State's Scenja Tegtmeir at 10:30 a.m. Finally, third-seeded junior Sarah Pham will duel Maria Sablina of New Mexico at 1:30 p.m., while junior Lucia Kovarcikova takes on Elizabeth Tapia of Northern Colorado at 2 p.m.

Last Time at the Mountain Regionals
Utah's first-seeded No. 64 Anastasia Putilina advanced to the singles semifinals before falling to UNLV's third-seeded Aleksandra Josifoska, 6-3, 6-1. Putilina also reached the doubles semifinals with partner Craig. The top-seeded team suffered an 8-4 upset in the semifinals to Wyoming's No. 3-seeded Veronica Popovici and Simona Synkova.
