SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah women's tennis team will head to Boise, Idaho this weekend for the 2008 Jack Taylor Invitational hosted by Boise State. Play will begin Friday, with doubles at 9:30 a.m. MT.

Other schools participating in the tournament are New Mexico, Washington State, and Boise State.

LAST YEAR'S EVENT Last year the Jack Taylor Invitational was not played in a traditional bracket format, instead the coaches matched players against others of a similar calber. The Utes had six overall wins in singles play and seven in doubles play.

LAST TIME OUT The Utes' last action was at the BYU Invitational Sept. 18-20. Utah freshman Lisa Johnson won the singles flight B championship. The doubles team of Anastasia Putilina and Erin Monson also reached the finals.
