SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah women's tennis team has placed seven on the 2003 Academic All-Mountain West Conference team. In order to be eligible, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution, hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better, and be a starter or significant contributor to the team.
Making the team were: Rachel Alder (Jr., 3.61, mass communication), Hilary Doyle, So., 3.34, business), Sheri Esrock (Jr., 3.77, business), Allison Hansen (So., 3.38, math teaching), Cassie Kasteler (Sr, 3.11, business), Ellen Svensson (So., 3.36, undeclared), and Maria Svensson (Fr., 3.52, undeclared).
