OMAHA, Neb. - Utah's Anna Svendenhov made it all the way to the semifinals of the ITA Central Regional before losing to Brigham Young's Holly Parkinson 6-0, 6-1. Svendenhov a senior transfer from Pepperdine entered the tournament with a 16th seed. She defeated Sarah Kay of Wyoming (6-2, 6- 4), Natalia Alekhova of New Mexico (6-4, 6-2) and fifth seed Yana Dorodnova of Kansas State (6- 2, 3-6, 7-5). Megan Payne played well for the Utes as she advanced to the quarterfinal before also falling to BYU's Parkinson, 6-4, 7-6. Linda Engblom has fared well in the tournament, advancing to the consolation finals. In doubles, Utah's Engblom and Angie Olson and the duo of Svendenhov and Payne made it to the third round before being eliminated.
