BOISE, Idaho - The University of Utah women's tennis team completed the final day of the Jack Taylor Indoor Classic on Sunday, Oct. 13. Hosted by Boise State, the tournament featured players from Utah, Portland and Weber State.
In singles competition, freshman Allison Hansen downed BSU's Carolina Pongratz (6-3, 6-1). Freshman Rachel Alder defeated Weber State's Maria Bradley (6-1, 6-1) and freshman Maria Svensson downed Portland's Cheryl Holub (ret.).
In doubles competition, Kasteler/Zyndzo fell to BSU Polowski/Hayward (8-1) while Alder/Esrock defeated Weber State's Bublik/Drews (8-1) and Svensson/Hansen fell to BSU's Pongratz/Curtolo (8-1).
Next on the Ute's schedule is the Rolex Regional Tournament in Tulsa, Okla., on Oct.23-27.
