BOISE, IDAHO - On Saturday, the Utes paired up with different players from Oregon, Boise State, Montana State, and New Mexico to pull out four wins in singles, and five wins in doubles play. The matches were played outdoors at the Appleton Tennis Center due to good weather.
Andrea Maughan, Evgenia Kryunchkova, Cheyenne Reveche, Erin Monson all pulled out wins in singles play. Maughan posted a 6-2, 6-3 win over Remy Clark from Montana State, and Kryunchkova played out a 6-3, 1-6, 6-0 win over veteran Anna Powaska from Oregon. Reveche slammed a 6-3, 6-2 win over conference opponent Victoria Tessmar from New Mexico, and Monson worked a 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 victory against Jennifer Ryba from New Mexico.
In doubles play, Maughan and Kryunchkova teamed up to face Ola Abou-Zekry and Tessmar from New Mexico for an 8-5 win. Kryunchkova also paired with Karine Bourdages in doubles play. The Ute duo faced Ali Griffin and Katy Proietti from Montana State for an 8-3 win. Monson and Walsh faced Siobhan Cavan and Powaska from Oregon for a dominating 8-2 win. Monson also teamed up with Emily Kwok against Celine Rolly and Cavan for a hard fought 8-5 victory in the Utes' favor. Reveche and Maughan teamed up in a doubles match for a close 9-7 victory over Stephanie Jasper and Laura Villegas from Montana State.
