Pacific Palisades, Calif. - The University of Utah's Elizabeth Ferris of the women's tennis team ended her time at the Riviera ITA All-American Championships on Friday after a loss to Sarah Fansler of USC.
No. 79 Ferris faced the unranked freshman from USC in the semifinals of the Consolation Bracket fresh off of a big win against No. 49 Anca Anastasiu in the Quarterfinals. Fansler took the first set 6-1, but Ferris challenged her for the second set. The Ute played hard but couldn't hold the Trojan down. Fansler took the second set and the match for a 6-1, 6-3 win over Ferris.
COMING UP FOR THE UTES:
The University of Utah women's tennis team will host the ITA Central Regional Tournament from Oct. 18-22 in Salt Lake City.
