Denver, Colo. - The University of Utah women's tennis team was crushed 6-1 by the No. 46 ranked University of Denver.
The Pioneers earned the doubles point with victories at the No. 1 and 3 spots. However, Utah's Whitney Eber and Emily Kwok did not fall to Denver. They defeated Barbara Khourim and Jenny Trettin (8-6) at the No. 2 position.
Denver dominated in singles, winning five of six matches. Cinthia Saucedo picked up the Utes only point with her (6-7(4), 6-1, 10-8) victory over Marisa Mechem at the No. 6 position.
The Utes continue conference play tomorrow against Air Force.
