Women's tennis has a rough start to the season

Sophomore Elizabeth Ferris had a big win over Kanas during singles for a 7-6 (4), 6-4 victory.

SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah women's tennis team had a rough start to the 2006 season today. On the other hand, Utah managed to gain a big victory in singles. Elizabeth Ferris defeated Bukina at the No.1 singles spot for a 7-6 (4), 6-4 victory. The women's tennis team ended the day with a Kansas victory of 6-1; making the Utes 0-1 for this season.

Coming Up: The women's tennis team will travel to Boise to face the University of Idaho on February 10, 2006.
