Coming off its first-ever Pac-12 Conference series victory last weekend over UCLA, the University of Utah softball team looks to carry its momentum into its next Pac-12 series at Oregon State.
The series opener on Friday will begin at 3 p.m. MT. Saturday's middle game will start at 3 p.m. PT, while the first pitch of Sunday's finale is set for 12 p.m. PT.
The Utes split a doubleheader with Weber State on Wednesday at Utah Softball Stadium. The home team took the first game, 11-2 in five innings, before dropping the second game, 6-1.
Utes on the Small Screen: The Utes will make their television season debut this weekend at Oregon State as the Pac-12 Networks will broadcast Friday's and Sunday's games. In Salt Lake City, Pac-12 Networks is carried on Comcast. Pac-12 Mountain is channel 37, the national Pac-12 Network is channel 410 and Pac-12 Mountain HD is channel 757.
Anne Marie Anderson (PBP) and Tammy Blackburn (Analyst) will call Friday's action, while JB Long (PBP) and Kyndra de St. Aubin (Analyst) will be on the call during Sunday's series finale.

Weber State Doubleheader Review: Utah split a non-conference doubleheader with Weber State on Wednesday at Utah Softball Stadium. The Utes took the opener 11-2 in five innings, but lost a 6-1 decision in the nightcap. Utah turned in a .429 on-base percentage between the two games, compared to a .357 mark for Weber State. The Utes reached base at a .660 slugging percentage on the day, while the Wildcats turned in a .396 clip. Chalese Fankhauser (South Jordan, Utah) nailed a walk-off three-run homer in the fifth inning of the first game that put the `run rule' into effect and gave the Utes an 11-2 victory.
UCLA Series Review: After being edged 6-4 by UCLA in the series opener on Saturday (which doubled as the first game of a doubleheader), Utah went on to take the second game of the day, 7-4. The Utes then won the series finale, 8-3, on Sunday to secure their first-ever series victory in Pac-12 play. It was also the first time in school history that Utah won back-to-back Pac-12 games.
Swinging Sweet: Sweet, the reigning Pac-12 Player of the Week, led Utah with a .550 batting average last week, which included two doubles, a triple and home run for a .900 slugging percentage, on 11 hits in 20 at-bats for five RBI. She also turned in a .571 on-base percentage in addition to a stolen base. In the field, Sweet registered a flawless 1.000 fielding percentage with 14 assists and 13 putouts from her second-base post.
Sweet went 5-for-5 Wednesday against Weber State with two RBI to extend her team-high hit streak to 15 games. She has had multiple hits in 10 games this year, which ranks second on the team, as well as six games with multiple RBI, which is a team-high mark.
This season, Sweet leads Utah with a .353 batting average and ranks third on the squad with 20 RBI. She has 12 extra-base hits in 2013, which includes seven doubles, three home runs and two triples.
