Adrian Gregory returns for her second season as assistant coach at the University of Utah. Gregory came to Utah from the New England Riptide of the National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) League.
Gregory spent one year coaching with the Riptide after playing for two years as the starting shortstop with the NPF's Texas Thunder. Gregory was drafted by the Thunder in 2005.
A Livingston, Texas, native, Gregory began her coaching career as a student assistant for Texas A&M in 2006 while also playing with the Thunder. The Aggies went 34-19 that year and reached the NCAA Regional.
Gregory was a four-year starter for Texas A&M, playing shortstop, second base and outfield. She had a career batting average of .284 with 197 hits, 29 home runs and 37 stolen bases and served as a team captain as a junior and senior. Gregory led the Aggies to a Big XII regular-season title and an NCAA Super Regional appearance as a senior. She was also named to the ESPN The Magazine CoSIDA Academic All-District VI Softball Second Team. During her junior season, Gregory was a first-team All-Big XII selection and was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Region team. Gregory coached and played at Texas A&M under former Utah head coach Jo Evans.
