The University of Utah women's soccer team signed nine players to become Utes in the fall of 2012, head coach Rich Manning announced Wednesday. Five players hail from the state of Utah, while three Californians and a New Jersey native round out a well proportioned class that features three forwards, three midfielders, two defenders and a goalkeeper.

The University of Utah women's soccer team will hold and eight-week, 10-session Discovery Training Academy that will run from Feb. 3 - March 24. Two separate academies will run simultaneously for girls ages U10-U13 and U14-U18.

Senior forward Erin Dalley has been named a third-team all-Pacific Region choice by the NSCAA. Dalley adds the regional honor to her second-team all-Pac-12 award and her Academic All-Conference honorable mention nod.

The University of Utah women's soccer team has added Gabrielle Smart to its coaching staff, head coach Rich Manning announced Tuesday. Smart, who goes by Gabe, will join the team as an assistant coach and assume her duties immediately.

Nine University of Utah women's soccer players were named to the Pac-12 Women's Soccer All-Academic Team, the conference office announced this week. Senior defender Lauren Porter was a first-team selection, while senior defender Lauren Dudley, and sophomore defender Jenny Hutton were second-team choices. Six other Utes earned Honorable Mention status.
