SALT LAKE CITY - Utah is the No. 2 seed in this week's Mountain West Conference Soccer Championship, which takes place Wednesday through Saturday at South Field on the BYU campus in Provo, Utah. The Utes face No. 7 seeded Wyoming in the quarterfinals on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m.

Utah earned the second seed with a 4-1-1 record in MWC play and finished the regular-season with an 11-2-3 overall record. Wyoming went 0-6-0 in conference play.

The opening quarterfinal game of the MWC Tournament on Wednesday features fourth-seeded San Diego State taking on No. 5 seed UNLV at 2 p.m., followed by No. 3 seed New Mexico vs. No. 6 seed Air Force at 4:30 p.m.

BYU claimed the No. 1 seed and a first round bye in the tournament with its 2-1 win over Utah on Saturday at Ute Field. The Cougars play the winner of San Diego State vs. UNLV on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. The other semifinal match is set for 4:30 p.m. The championship game is Saturday at 12:00 p.m.
