Utah Head Coach Rich Manning
Commenting On The Game: "Give New Mexico a lot of credit. They are an awesome defensive team. They tackle well and overall play great. We matched their strength and competitiveness tonight, but we need to get better."
"They say having a 2-0 lead is very dangerous in soccer and we fell victim to that tonight. We were lucky to get another one back with Amanda's (Feigt) second goal. We did somewhat well tonight, but we played a very good team. We had a difficult time finding rhythm as a team and that really hurt us."
Commenting On Feigt's Goals: "We are trying to take advantage of Amanda's speed and dribbling abilities. This game will hopefully restore her confidence in scoring goals."
Utah Junior Forward Amanda Feigt
Commenting On The Goals: "I really needed some goals and it was nice to get them tonight. My speeded helped me get by the defenders and we have been focusing on getting me in the corners and attacking."
"Adele (Letro) found me on the first goal by making a great pass and I put it away. On the second goal, the ball came right to me and I just put my foot out and it went in."
Utah Freshman Forward Adele Letro
Commenting On The Game: "New Mexico is a high-pressure team and they don't allow you to hold the ball. We tried to get them running and spread the defense, which allows our forwards to take over. We broke down mentally and they got their goals. Luckily, Amanda played awesome and got us back in the game."
Commenting On The Goal: "Chelsea (Card) and I played off a one-to-two and she put out a perfect ball and I beat the two defenders for the goal."
