TUCSON, Ariz. - Utah, ranked No. 25 in the NSCAA/adidas poll, fell to No. 22 Arizona 1-0 in overtime on Friday night in the Four Points University Plaza Arizona Soccer Classic at Murphey Stadium.

Utah took its first loss of the season, falling to 6-1. Arizona improved to 4-1-1.

After the teams battled to a scoreless tie through regulation, Arizona senior midfielder Mallory Miller scored the only goal of the game a little over five minutes into the first overtime period. It was Miller's fifth goal of the season.

The Wildcats outshot the Utes 17-12. Ute junior goalkeeper Ashley Mason gave a great effort, making 11 saves. She made two outstanding stops late in the second half and one at the start of the overtime period.

Utah's best scoring chances came early in the game when Adele Letro, who had scored in the last three games, got a couple of shots away from the edge of the box. However, Arizona stayed back defensively, making it difficult for the Utes to penetrate close to the goal.

Amanda Feigt had two shots on goal, while Letro, Whitney Dorsey, Katy Reineke and Kim Lloyd had one each. Arizona had a 5-0 advantage in cornerkicks and was whistled for seven fouls to Utah's six.

Utah plays Cal State Fullerton in its final game of the tournament on Sunday at 10:00 a.m. (MST).
