SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah gymnastics team had five of its student-athletes honored by the Mountain West Conference today, recognizing them with the Scholar-Athlete Award.
Honored were: Dominique D'Oliveira, Sr., 3.89, Sociology; Nicolle Ford, So., 3.51, Behavioral Science and Health; Gritt Hofmann, Sr., 3.65, University Studies; Natalie Nicoloff, Jr., 3.71, Behavioral Science and Health; Rachel Tidd, Jr., 3.80, French.
To be eligible, student-athletes must have completed at least two semesters or three quarters at the certifying institution while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better, and have competed in at least one varsity contest in their respective sport.
