Award Winners

The Utah gymnastics team concluded the year with its annual awards banquet on Thursday, May 4. Award winners included:
COACHES' AWARD - Established to honor the gymnast who, through discipline and hard work, demonstrates the greatest improvement during the season. Nina Kim
DAHL AWARD - Established by Trix and Rainier Dahl to honor that gymnast who most distinguishes herself both academically and athletically. Kristina Baskett
DIANE ELLINGSON AWARD - Established in honor of Diane Ellingson, who as a senior in 1981, led Utah to its first national title. Diane inspired her teammates, as well as those who have followed, with her courage and leadership, both on and off the competitive floor. Gritt Hofmann
MOST VALUABLE PERFORMER - Established to honor the gymnast who most distinguishes herself throughout the season on the competitive floor. Nicolle Ford and Ashley Postell
Also honored were seniors Dominique D'Oliveira, Gritt Hofmann, Natalie Nicoloff, Gabriella Onodi and Kristen Riffanacht as well as team captains Nicolle Ford and Kristen Riffanacht.
