CORVALLIS, Ore. -
The Utah gymnastics team competes in the NCAA Super Six Gymnastics Championship tonight starting at 7 p.m. PDT (8 p.m. MT) in Corvallis, Ore. Click here for once the meet starts (the site will not be activated until then) NCAA Championships Live Scoring.
Utah qualified into the Super Six with Nebraska, Alabama, Georgia, Iowa State and Florida. Only Iowa State is a newcomer to the Super Six. Tonight marks Utah's 12th Super Six appearance since the format began in 1993. The Utes placed seventh in 1997 and 1999.
In a blind draw conducted by the NCAA last night, Utah was handed the following rotation: bars, beam, bye, floor, vault, bye.
Utah earned a spot in the team finals after surviving an extremely difficult qualifying test on Thursday. Only 0.325 separated the first and fourth place teams in the afternoon session.

Utah's Ashley Postell won the silver medal in the all-around, scoring a 39.525 and winning the afternoon session for the second straight year. Georgia Olympian Courtney Kupets edged past Postell's score in the evening session by scoring a 39.575.
Postell qualified for individual event finals on all four events and will be joined in Saturday's event finals by Nicolle Ford (vault and bars), Kristina Baskett (bars) and Gritt Hofmann (vault).
