SALT LAKE CITY -
So-does everyone have his or her reservations made to visit Germany yet? No? Well, I know for sure I'm going home for the summer and I'm very excited. Before I go home though, my parents are coming here and we are going to visit many of the U.S. National Parks. We will travel for one month, then return to Germany. Until then, I must stay focused on school and gymnastics.
Although we had a fun weekend in Seattle, we were all anxious to compete at home last week against Oregon State. Other than being a little shaky on beam, we had a great meet and everyone looked fabulous. I was especially happy to compete on floor again in front of our home crowd. There is nothing better than having 10,000 people cheering for you - Utah fans are THE BEST!
Last week was very busy since our spring break started on Friday. Everyone managed some good practices along with finishing up some schoolwork. Even though spring break has started, many of us still have work left to do. I guess if we want to be successful both in the classroom and in the gym, we must remain disciplined. Nonetheless, we are determined to enjoy the great weather (60's and 70's), and do some fun stuff too.
Last, but not least, here are three reasons to come to the meet this Friday: First, it's our last home meet for this year, which means senior night. We're really going to miss you Mel and V. Second, we're going to compete against a strong BYU team, so it will be thrilling. BEAT BYU! Third, we want to beat Alabama in the season home attendance ranking, which means we need at least 14, 225 people. So come along and bring some friends! What more can I say - let's got for it!
I have to agree with V that this season has flown by. It's unbelievable. We still have some work to do though and everyone is determined to be at our best as we prepare for our post-season competition. We will find out were we go to compete at the NCAA Regional meet on Monday. Check back then. I'm sure Liz will get something up right away.
GO UTES!
Tschuess, Gritty.
