SALT LAKE CITY -
The Utah gymnastics team is ranked No. 2 in the nation this week, a two-place improvement from last week. The Utes, whose 197.825 score last Friday in Logan is the third-best in the country this year, trail only UCLA in the new rankings. Ute junior Melissa Vituj is ranked in three areas. She is second on the floor exercise (9.955 average), tied for fourth on the balance beam (9.940) and seventh in the all-around (39.525). On the uneven bars, senior Theresa Kulikowski is ranked No. 1 (9.975) and senior Kim Allan is No. 8 (9.905).
