The Utes have split their first eight games of this season. Utah is 1-1 in true road games and picked up its first road win of the season, 66-59, at UNLV on Nov. 26.

Utah Valley Recap: Utah featured a balanced attack in an 81-70 non-conference win over Utah Valley on Dec. 11 in the Huntsman Center. The Utes poured in a season-high 81 points on a 41.3 percentage from the floor to go with a 35-30 edge in team rebounding. Twenty-one of Utah's 26 baskets were assisted and was 17-of-19 from the free throw line. The Utes' 21 assists came with only seven turnovers, while forcing 14 Utah Valley turnovers. Utah was opportunistic as it had 19 points off turnovers and 17 second-chance points in the contest and also carried a 13-2 edge in bench points.
Plenty of Potter: Freshman forward Emily Potter (Winnipeg, Manitoba) swatted six shots, scored 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds in Utah's win over Utah Valley on Dec. 11. Potter has hit double-figures in points five times through eight games.
Plouffe Pride: Senior forward Michelle Plouffe (Edmonton, Alberta) turned in her fifth double-double of the season with a team-high 21 points and a game-high 13 rebounds on Dec. 11 against Utah Valley. She reached double-digits in points for the ninth time in nine games this season (39 career) and has had 10 or more rebounds five times in 2013-14 and also came up with a season-high four steals against the Wolverines.
Plouffe In the Record Books: Plouffe became Utah's fourth all-time leading rebounder on Nov. 26 at UNLV and now has 955 over her career. She is now 60 away from tying Kim Smith (1,015 from 2002-06) for third place in school history.
Plouffe owns the Utah school record with 717 defensive rebounds and is second in career blocks (131), fourth in rebounding average (8.49), and tied for fourth in scoring average (15.3).
Plouffe ranks fifth in school history in field goals attempted (1,528), eighth in school history with 1,718 career points and needs 18 more to pass Shona Thoburn (1,735 from 1989-93) for seventh.
Currently ninth in school history, Plouffe has 420 career 3-point field goal attempts and is 16 away from equaling Lana Sitterud (436 from 2000-05) for eighth place on the school's all-time career list. Plouffe stands seventh in school history in offensive rebounds (238) and needs 29 more to move ahead of Kalee Whipple (266 from 2006-10) into sixth.
Red Hot Rodriguez: Sophomore guard Danielle Rodriguez (Downey, Calif.) leads the Pac-12 in assists per game and is fourth in assist-to-turnover ratio. Rodriguez has dished out 5.4 assists per game this season, which is 0.3 more than second-place Brittany Boyd of Cal. She also ranks fourth in the league with a 2.3 (43-19) assist-to-turnover ratio and fifth in minutes (34.0 per game).
