The Tipoff
The University of Utah women's basketball team (4-2 overall) leaves Utah for its first true road game of the year. The Utes' three-game road swing begins on Saturday, Dec. 1, when they play at Fresno State. Tipoff at the Save Mart Center is set for 1 p.m. (PT). The Bulldogs come into the contest with an 0-4 record.

This game will be broadcast on 97.5 The Oasis with Chris Tunis calling the action. It can also be followed on www.UtahUtes.com with live stats and audio streaming.

Scouting the Opponent
Fresno State comes in to the game with an 0-4 overall mark. It most recently lost to Mountain West Conference member, TCU, 75-63. The Bulldogs also played MWC member Brigham Young, losing the game, 78-59, on Nov. 17. Tierre Wilson leads the team in scoring (16.3 ppg) and rebounding (6.0 rpg). FSU is coached by Adrian Wiggins who is in his fifth year of coaching, his third at Fresno State. He owns an 89-46 career mark and a 49-29 record at FSU.

A Brief Look at the Series
Utah had won 10 straight meetings until Fresno State topped the Utes, 61-55, in Salt Lake City on Nov. 13, 2006. However, the Utes still hold a commanding 11-3 lead in the all-time series with FSU. This renews an old Western Athletic Conference rivalry, and it is only the fourth time these two teams have played since Utah split from the WAC. The Utes are 2-1 against FSU since then. Utah has played all of the current members of the Western Athletic Conference, owning an 87-15 all-time record against the league. That number is bouyed by a 20-6 mark against New Mexico State and a 26-0 tally against Utah's Dec. 15 opponent, Utah State.
