SALT LAKE CITY - Utah women's basketball player Michelle Plouffe has been selected to the Associated Press All-America team, it was announced today. Plouffe was an honorable mention selection.
Plouffe, who was also an honorable mention All-Pac-12 pick, is ninth in the Pac-12 in scoring (14.1) and seventh in rebounding (8.2). She ranks fourth in the league with a .777 free-throw percentage, fourth in defensive rebounds (6.2) and sixth in blocked shots (1.4) as well as seventh in minutes (33.9).
Plouffe is fifth in the conference with 11 double-doubles. She had a season-high 24 points against New Mexico State, hitting the 20-point plateau six times during the season. Plouffe scored in double figures in all but eight games during the season, and has been in double-figure rebounding 12 times.
Utah finished its season in the WNIT with a 16-16 record.
