Utah vs. Arizona State-Arizona Game Notes ![]()
SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah women's basketball team heads south to Arizona this weekend, playing Arizona State on Friday, Feb. 15, at 7:00 p.m. MT and Arizona on Sunday, Feb. 17, at 5:00 p.m. MT.
The Utes (13-10, 4-8 Pac-12) have won three of their past four games, including a sweep of the Oregon schools last weekend.
"This is a success-driven game and even though you try to tell your kids that it's a 30-game season, you still have to have some success and it's really important for our confidence moving forward," Utah head coach Anthony Levrets said.
The Utes will be playing the Arizona schools for the second time this season.
"Hopefully we've improved since we've played them, and I think they have improved since we played them," Levrets said. "We just have to have a really good week of practice. They are two very different teams, and we have to come up with a game plan to win that first game and then worry about the second game."
Arizona State is 11-13 overall and 3-9 in the Pac-12. The Sun Devils have dropped their last five games, and seven of their last eight. The Utes won the first meeting this season in the Huntsman Center in a dominant 20-point victory, 66-46, on Jan. 20.
Utah is 9-4 all-time against ASU.
Arizona is 11-12 overall and 3-9 in the Pac-12. The Wildcats have lost seven-straight games. The Utes dropped a close game to Arizona in the Huntsman Center on Jan. 18, 62-58. The game came down to free throws in the final seconds.
Utah is 12-3 all-time against Arizona.
