Utah Hosts Colorado State Saturday
Coming off its first Mountain West Conference victory of the season, the University of Utah women's basketball team will look to even its league mark at 2-2 Saturday. The Utes host Colorado State in a 3 p.m. contest at the Huntsman Center.

Utah enters Saturday's game with a 10-4 overall record and a 1-2 mark in Mountain West Conference play after Wednesday night's rout of San Diego State. The Utes used a 32-2 run at the start of the second half to hammer the Aztecs 76-39.

Colorado State is 7-6 and hasn't played since last Saturday. The Rams had the first of their two byes in place of a midweek game earlier this week. Each MWC team has two byes in the schedule, due to the addition of TCU to the conference. The Rams are 1-1 in MWC play.

CSU opened league play with a 68-65 win over San Diego State in Fort Collins, Colo. The Rams remained at home last Saturday, hosting New Mexico. The Lobos took a 73-57 win over Colorado State at Moby Arena.

Utah leads the all-time series with CSU by a tallly of 48-13.

Utah Fast Breaks
• Utah avoided its first three-game losing streak since 2001-02 with Wednesday's win at San Diego State.
• Utah's two losses to open conference play was its first back-to-back losses in four years.
• Utah has won four in a row and five of the last six over Colorado State.
• Utah hasn't lost to the Rams in Salt Lake City since the 2001-02 season. The Utes have only fallen to the Rams in Salt Lake four times, with two of those games going to overtime.

Long Distance Information
Utah averages more three-pointers per game than any other team in the Mountain West Conference. Through their first 14 games, the Utes are hitting 7.6 shots per game from behind the arc. The Utes ranked No. 7 in the nation in three-pointers per contest in the latest report. Utah's three-point percentage is in the middle of the MWC pack. The Utes rank No. 5 in the conference, hitting at a .334 clip.

Last year, Utah was one of the more prolific three-point shooting teams in the nation. The 2004-05 squad made nearly seven (6.9) treys per game, ranking No. 15 in the nation in three-pointers made per game. That number was good enough to rank second in the MWC, just behind Wyoming's mark of 7.14.

Larsen Leads League
Senior Julie Larsen was 3-for-4 from three-point range against SDSU Wednesday. She was 2-for-4 against BYU last Saturday. Her .517 percentage (31-of-60) is tops in the MWC and No. 2 in the nation.

Larsen is currently ranked No. 3 in the MWC in three-pointers made per game, averaging 2.21 per contest.
