Utah Wing, Kalee Whipple
"We knew what kind of team they were, but we still had to get a feel for their style of game for us to get comfortable. When the lead got to twelve we realized we had to pick it back up and we concentrated more on execution and rebounding. Going up against a taller player, it's all about who is going to play harder that night. So, it comes down to stopping who you're matched up against."
Utah Head Coach Elaine Elliott
"They play a certain game which is good for us to go up against. It's good that we see different styles of game because Leilani can figure out how take advantage of it. That's how good she is.
"We are able to get points in the paint in different ways tonight, even against their big post players. There was a post game, but there was also penetration and transition so that was a good sign.
"It has been a good preparatory season so far. The games we've had have given us some different looks to play against."
Saint Mary's head coach Paul Thomas
"We expected this from Utah tonight. They are one of my favorite opponents because they run their offense phenomenally. Utah controls the tempo well and always gets good shots. They play well as a team together."
"We didn't execute the fundamentals well tonight."
"As a team, we needed to block out better and get after it on the rebounds to compete with them. We didn't do that."
