Utah improves to 27-6. Boston College falls to 21-12.

Utah advances to its first Elite Eight in its second trip to the Sweet 16. The Utes are the lowest seed to advance to the regional final.

Utah Sr. F Kim Smith was held to seven points (second-lowest output of the season). She made up for the shortcoming with eight rebounds and six assists - leading the team in both categories.

Boston College Sr. F Brooke Queenan led all scorers with 21 points and pulled down a game-high nine rebounds.

Queenan scored in double figures in 29 of BC's 32 contests this season and had 20 or more points eight times.

Boston College was held without a 3-point field goal for the first time since Dec. 21, 2003 vs. Sacred Heart.

Utah Fr. F Joh-Teena Filipe tied a career-high in scoring with 11 points.

As a team, Boston College pulled down 43 rebounds. The Eagles registered 40 or more rebounds in 12 of their last 25 games.

BC Sr. C Lisa Macchia scored in double figures in nine of the team's 32 games this season.

The victory was Utah's seventh in a row, 14th in the last 15 games and 18th in the last 20.

The Utes are one win shy of their all-time season high in victories, 28 in 2001.

Queenan scored in double figures in each of her last five NCAA Tournament games - two in 2005 and three this year.

BC Sr. G Aja Parham's five assists tied her season high.

BC Jr. G Sarah Marshall's three steals tied her season-high.

Utah's seven blocks tied their season high (vs. Air Force 3/8).
