Utah Women's Basketball Quotes vs. Wyoming

Recap |  Final Stats

Quoting Head Coach Elaine Elliot

On Utah's Attitude Coming Into the Game in Fourth Place in the MWC: "I want our kids to think they are a penned-up dog, that has been teased and wants out. We have our backs against the wall and I want our team to give it all they have. There was a comfort zone being at home tonight and it was good to get the win."

On Kim Smith's Performance: "Kim (Smith) is phenomenal and she has really shown that the last three or four games. There is not a player I have ever coached like Kim. Everything she gets, she has earned. She has put in the time and deserves everything she earns."

On Defeating Wyoming: "There isn't a team in this league that competes harder than Wyoming and they don't back down. They are very tough and this was a very physical game. There was a lot of contact."

On Saturday's Game With New Mexico: "I really want us to have a good performance against New Mexico. We haven't been playing well lately and that is discouraging. I want us to come out intense, but relaxed at the same time."

Quoting Senior Forward Kim Smith

On Her Performance: "When someone on the team is making shots, the team goes to them and I was making shots tonight. I think of myself as a scorer, so I'm going to take a few shots. Each night we have to go out and prove ourselves and we did that tonight."

On Utah's Game Against New Mexico on Saturday: "The next game against New Mexico is a big game for us. We didn't play them very well last time, so we want another shot at them. We know we can play better and we want to battle back into the race for a conference title."

On the Team Making Just Two Three-Pointers Against Wyoming: "Some nights we are not going to be able to hit the three, but tonight we found other ways to score. I think it is a good sign that we can find other ways to score and get a win."
