The University of Utah men's tennis team announced the commitment of Louis-Philippe Gascon. Gascon, a 6′ 5″ left handed player from Canada, will join the Utes in August in preparation for the 2013-2014 season.

The NCAA announced its multi-year Academic Performance Report (APR) for NCAA Division I schools today and the University of Utah set a school record for APR success.

For the second-consecutive year, the University of Utah's intercollegiate athletic teams set a department record for the highest cumulative grade point average for the spring semester. Utah's teams averaged a 3.153 GPA for the spring, besting the previous record of 3.136 from the spring of 2012. Utah has now posted six consecutive semesters with an athletic department GPA of 3.0 or better, another school first.

Utah's Slim Hamza was honorably mentioned as the Pac-12 Conference announced its postseason men's tennis all-conference teams. The sophomore from Kairouan, Tunisia ended the season with a 22-11 record mainly from the No. 2 singles position and reached as high as No. 37 on the ITA National Rankings.
