SALT LAKE CITY - The University of Utah men's tennis team was proud to announce that senior Nick Coutts and sophomore Zach Ganger were named as Utah's representatives in the 2005-06 All-MWC tennis team on Wednesday.
Coutts, a senior from British Columbia, Canada, and Ganger, a sophomore from Jacksonville, Fla., were honored as All-MWC for their doubles play this season. The duo has a 17-3 overall record while playing at the top position in the lineup for Utah. Ganger was also named All-MWC for singles play. Ganger garnishes the honor with a 13-8 dual match record and a 22-10 overall season record for the Utes.
The MWC Tournament gets underway on Thursday at 3:00 p.m. Pacific Time for the Utes. The fifth-seeded Utes (14-9) will face the sixth-seeded Rebels (13-8) in the first round of competition. The match will be held at the Barnes Tennis Center in San Diego, Calif.
