Jason Yap and teammate Nick Coutts advance to semifinals in doubles play.

DENVER, Colo. - The Utah men's tennis team ended the second day at the Denver Invitational on Saturday afternoon. Nick Coutts and Jason Yap defeated Gerhard Posch and Adrian Szatmary, 8-4. The duo will play in the semifinals on Sunday against Daniel Andrus and Francois VanderMerwe at 11:00 a.m.
In Flight B consolation play two singles players advanced. Ryan Scott defeated Derek Lynch in the quarterfinals (6-0, 6-4), and Justin Rofel (6-0, 6-2) in the semifinals. He will play in the finals Sunday.
Also in Flight B consolation, Dan Mascall defeated Karhik Raju in quarterfinals 6-4, 6-3. He will compete in the semifinals Sunday at 8:00 a.m. against Karl Jones.
