DENVER, Colo. - Utah's men's tennis team opened its fall season at the Denver Fall Invitational on Friday. Nick Coutts and Wes Hancock followed by three doubles teams advance to quarterfinals on Saturday.
Wes Hancock had a bye in round of 32, and then defeated Charlie Yemm in round of 16 (6-4, 6-4). Hancock will play in quarterfinals Saturday at 10:00 a.m.
Nick Coutts defeated Eric Molnar in round of 32 (6-4, 6-2) and Eric Conklin (6-2, 7-5) in round of 16. Coutts will play in quarterfinals Saturday at 9:30 a.m.
In doubles play, Wes Hancock and Ryan Scott defeated Marko Bundalo and Geoffrey Chizever (8-6) in round of 31. Duo will play in round of 16 on Satrurday at 4:00 p.m.
