Provo, Utah - The University of Utah men's tennis team earned its first conference victory today with a 4-3 win over No. 68 Air Force.
The Utes were the first to get on the scoreboard by winning the doubles point. At No. 1, Miron Mann teamed up with Zach Ganger to defeat Shannon Buck and Justin Lau (8-2). Tomasz Grzyb and Dan Mascall beat Trevor Johnson and Robby Alexander (8-2) at No. 3.
Utah tallied three singles wins to defeat the Falcons. At No. 3, Mann downed Johnson (6-4, 6-3) while Nick Coutts picked up a (6-3, 7-5) victory over Chris Dong at No. 4. At No. 5, Jason Yap beat Alexander (6-2, 6-2).
