No. 51 Zach Ganger won both of his matches on Sunday against the New Mexico.

SAN DIEGO, CALIF. - The University of Utah men's tennis team (72) suffered a tough loss on Sunday to No. 47 New Mexico, who took the match 5-2.
The Utes followed their doubles tradition on Sunday while playing the Lobos at the Aztec Tennis Center. Zach Ganger and Miron Mann faced Johnny Parkes and Miles Bugby at the top spot. The Ute duo took the veteran Lobos 8-3. At the No. 2 slot, Jason Smits and Othman Zerouali-Ouariti faced Kamil Pajkowski and Chris Parkes. The freshmen Ute duo played to a glorious 8-1 win over the Lobos' duo to give Utah the automatic doubles point.
The Utes had a tough day in singles play against the Lobos. Mann faced Johnny Parkes at the No. 2 slot for a hard fought battle. Parkes took the first set with a clean 6-3 win, but Mann fired back with a 6-3 win in the second set. The Lobo came back in the tie-breaker to dominate the set and take the win 6-2, 3-6, 6-0.
No. 51 Ganger faced veteran Max Jones from the Lobos' squad at the top spot. The Ute smashed a 6-3 win in the first set, only to be matched in the second by Jones 6-3. The two went point for point in the tie breaker until Ganger dug deep to pull ahead, taking the set and match at 6-3, 3-6, 7-5.
