SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The University of Utah men's tennis team fell to Princeton University on Tuesday for a 2-5 loss.

In doubles play, Othman Zerouali-Ouariti and Jason Smits teamed up at the No. 2 slot to face No. 60 Peter Capkiovic and Alex Vuckovic. The Ute duo smashed an 8-2 match victory over the Tigers. Wes Hancock and Timmy Allin played an 8-6 win over Sratha Saengsuwarn and Mark Gober at the No. 3 slot, earning the Utes the doubles point.

The Utes weren't able to tame the Tigers in the singles competition on Tuesday. Zach Ganger (51) suffered a tough loss at the No. 1 slot against Peter Capkovic (6-4, 4-6, 6-2). Miron Mann stepped in at the No. 2 slot to face Sratha Saengsuwarn. The Tiger took the match 6-3, 4-6, 7-5 over the Ute. Othman Zerouali-Ouariti faced Alex Vuckovic at the No. 4 slot. The match ended in a 4-6, 7-6, 6-4 victory for the Tiger.

The second overall point came from Timmy Allin, who won his match at the No. 6 slot. The Ute faced Jonathan Leslie from Princeton for a 7-6, 6-2 match victory.
