San Diego, Calif. - The University of Utah men's tennis team concluded its spring break trip to California with a 5-1 victory over the Dartmouth Big Greens Mar. 19. Utah went 4-1 on the road last week. With the wins, the team improves to 12 -3 on the season.
No doubles matches were played, but Utah fared well in singles to earn the win.
In a three set match at the No. 1 spot, Tomasz Grzyb defeated David Webb (3-6, 6-3, 7-6). Miron Mann also went three sets to beat his opponent Jeffrey Schechtman (6-7, 6-3, 7-6) at No. 3. Nick Coutts had a decisive victory over Priya Sahu at No. 4 (6-2, 6-1) while Jason Yap came back after losing the first set to dispatch Andrus Reyes at No. 6 (4-6, 6-3, 6-4).
The Utes head into conference action when they take on San Diego State on the road April 1.
