Utah's Othman Zerouali-Ouariti wrapped up doubles play with partner Jason Smits at the No. 2 slot for an 8-4 victory over Boswell and Roberson from the Broncos on Firday.

BOISE, Idaho - The No. 73 University of Utah men's tennis team fell to No. 19 Boise State on Friday at the Boas Tennis and Soccer Complex for a 7-0 domination. The Utes are now 0-3 in away matches.
Boise State may have taken the doubles point, but Othman Zerouali-Ouariti and Jason Smits, both freshmen, stepped up for the Utes at the No. 2 slot. The Ute duo faced Blake Boswell and Eric Roberson from the Bronco squad for an 8-4 victory.
The Utes put up a strong fight in singles play. Hancock stepped in at the No. 3 slot for the Utes to face Piotr Dilaj. The Ute took the first set 6-4, but for the second set, Dilaj stepped up his game. Hancock battle good and hard, but Dilaj found his edge to take the second set 7-6. In the tie-breaker, the Bronco was able to continue his stride to take the set and match 4-6, 7-6, 10-4.
At the No. 5 slot, Zerouali-Ouariti battled Steve Robertson from Boise State. The Bronco took the first set with ease 6-1. In the second set, the Ute dug deep to pull out a 7-6 win to tie up the match. Robertson ended the three-set battle with a 6-1, 6-7, 6-2 victory.
Allin went head-to-head against Brent Werbeck at the No. 6 slot. The Ute took the first set 6-4 over the Bronco, but Werbeck answered right back with a 6-2 win for the second set. Moving into the tie-breaker, the two went point for point in the beginning, but Allin was unable to stop the Bronco. Werbeck took the match 4-6, 6-2, 10-5.
