The University of Utah men's tennis team swept the Wildcats 7-0 at the Eccles Tennis Center. The Utes overall record is now 3-1.

Freshman Jason Yap and sophomore Nick Coutts played at the No. 3 and downed Mathis Saberon and Travis Covington (8-1).
The Utes dominated in singles play. Brateanu beat Englebrecht (6-4, 6-6) at the No. 1 spot. Gryzb played at the No. 2 and killed Rideout (6-0, 6-0). Yap downed Saberon (6-1, 6-2) at the No. 3. At the No. 4, Mann defeated Covington (7-5, 6-1). Freshman Dantley Young played at the No. 5 and conquered Levetan (6-3, 6-3). Scott picked up a (6-2, 6-0) win over Daniel Abeabouro at the No. 6.
Head Coach F. D. Robbins comments on the match. "I felt like everyone played very well. The worry when you play a team you know you should beat is that the guys won't be ready. Upsets happen in sports when the guys don't get ready for the teams they should beat."
"I think we are getting a little momentum. Hopefully we will play a good match against Idaho."
