Chris Gresh continued his solid play for Utah
LAYTON, UTAH- The University of Utah tied for first at the Purple and Red Invitational on Tuesday with Hartford University. Hartford was awarded the team title as their fifth-lowest individual score beat Utah's by four strokes. Utah continued their good play Tuesday, firing a 289 on to finish the tournament at -1.

"We played solid for most of the day, but down the stretch couldn't seal the deal," commented Coach Randall McCracken. "Everyone's playing well, hopefully we can continue."

Dustin Pimm nearly defended his tournament title, firing a round of 70 in Tuesday's final round. Pimm ended the tournament at -7 placing second by one stroke to Cal Poly's Dave Lewinski. Chris Gresh continued his solid play, carding a 75 to finish +1 for the tournament and tied for 15th place. Five Utah golfers placed in the top 50.
