SUNRIVER, Ore. - Utah senior Garrett Clegg is seven-over-par after the first round of the NCAA West Regional Golf Championships at the Crosswater Course at Sunriver Resort.
Clegg, who started on the back nine, fired a 79 (38-41) and is tied for 112th place after the first 18 holes. Clegg got off to a rough start with double bogeys on his second third holes at 11 and 12, respectively, and was five-over-par after finishing the back nine. He had two bogeys on the front side.
The 54-hole tournament continues on Friday and Saturday. The top 10 teams and two other individuals will advance to the NCAA Championships from the West Regionals.
