GOODYEAR, Ariz. - The University of Utah golf team was in a tie for seventh place after the first day of the Ron Moore Invitational Monday. The Utes carded a rwo-round score of 571 Monday and are tied with Texas-San Antonio in the 17-team event.

Steve Broker was the top Ute golfer Monday. He shot rounds of 68 and 70 for a total of 138, tying him for fourth place after day one. The following is a look at other Utah golfers, their two-round, first-day scores and ranking in the tournament: Chance Cota (70-72-142 T20); Nic Larson (72-73-145 T47); Dustin Pimm (74-72-146 T53); Chris Gresh (75-75-150 T 73).

The Ron Moore Invitational, hosted by Denver University, wraps up Tuesday. The final round begins at 9 a.m.
