FRESNO, Calif. - The University of Utah men's golf team shot a final round 288 to finish in a tie for 14th at the Fresno Lexus Classic. Utah finished at 11-over-par, 875 (304-283-288). Garrett Clegg was the top finisher for the team with his two-under, 214 (75-70-69), which was good for 21st individually.
Luke Swilor added a third round 70 to finish 46th with a four-over, 220 (78-72-70). Casey Fowles shot a seven-over, 223 (80-70-73), Nick Summers concluded the tournament at 11-over, 227 (78-71-78), Steve Newren added a 12-over, 228 (77-73-78) and Carl Jensen finished at 13-over, 229 (74-79-76).
Colorado State won the tournament with a team score of 33-under, 831. Next up for the Utes is the Countrywide Intercollegiate, which begins on Oct. 20.
