FRESNO, Calif. - The Utah men's golf team got off to a slow start at the Fresno Lexus Classic on Friday. The Utes shot a team score of 587 (304-283) leaving them in last place after two rounds. Colorado State leads the tournament with a team score of 552 (281-271).
Garrett Clegg is the leader for Utah with his one-over, 145 (75-70), which leaves him in 42nd place. Other Utes competing include Nick Summers at five-over, 149 (78-71), Luke Swilor shot a six-over, 150 (78-72), as did Steve Newren (77-73) and Casey Fowles (80-70). Carl Jensen added a nine-over, 153 (74-49).
Utah will tee-off for the final round on Saturday morning at the Belmont Country Club.
